Top things to do in Porthcawl

Kenfig National Nature Reserve

Just 10 minutes’ drive outside of Porthcawl, this nature reserve is made up of sand dunes, freshwater pools and woodland. Go for a wander and you’ll find untouched beaches, the ruins of Kenfig Castle and Glamorgan’s largest natural lake.

Rest Bay

This beach is a favourite with beginner surfers, thanks to its regular swells. But when there’s no surf, it’s also a top spot for some stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking. Little ones will love the rock pools by the cliffs, too.
