You’re never far from a beautiful beach in South Wales. After all, it’s home to both the Glamorgan and Pembrokeshire coastlines. So when you stay at a holiday park in South Wales, you can expect golden sands on your doorstep. Porthcawl has one of Europe’s biggest holiday parks, meanwhile Carmarthenshire’s parks combine rural settings with access to the sands.
The small towns of Porthcawl and Kidwelly put a collection of Blue Flag-winning beaches within easy reach, along with a range of lesser-known nature reserves and country parks. But the town of Tenby is the top dog around here. Tourists can’t get enough of this seaside town’s pastel-painted houses and Medieval town walls.

Most visitors to South Wales plan a stop in Tenby. This historic town’s harbour is a photographer’s dream. But there’s a lot else going on. You can hop on a boat to Caldey Island to visit the abbey, visit Tenby Castle ruins or explore the Tudor Merchant’s House.
Everyone will find something they love here. There’s 50 acres of parkland to wander, eight miles of beaches and a toboggan run – Wales’ longest. There’s also a dry ski slope and an adventure playground tucked within the forest.
