There are lots of holiday parks in Suffolk to choose from. You’ve got sleepy ones surrounded by woodland and beaches, like Kessingland and Saxmundham. Or you’ve got holiday parks further north, near bustling resorts, like Lowestoft and across the border in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
Lowestoft’s known as the UK’s most easterly town, so you’ll be the first to see in the sunrise each morning. There’s a lot for families, too. Two piers, a theme park, museums and a nearby wildlife park, to name a few. Its long beach is perfect for everyone from families to horse riders. Meanwhile, in sleepier Saxmundham, fishing in the two lakes is how visitors spend their days.

Technically, this trip involves crossing the border into Norfolk, but you’ll catch a boat from Lowestoft’s South Pier. It’ll take you out to Scroby Sands, off Great Yarmouth’s coast, where you can see hundreds of seals in their natural habitat.
You can sample Adnams beers all over Norfolk, Suffolk and beyond, but here’s a chance to try from the source. The popular brewery’s right in the heart of Southwold, just behind the High Street, and they run tours throughout the year.
