Shanklin’s one of the Isle of Wight’s most talked-about towns, taking up residence on the island’s south-east coast. Holiday parks in Shanklin put you on the outskirts of town, a short drive from the beach and all its attractions. There are two holiday parks right next to each other, so you’ve got double the facilities as you can jump between the two.
In Shanklin, you can pull out a deck chair or towel on the beach, which backs onto a traditional seafront promenade. It’s got all the attractions you’d expect, from crazy golf to bowling and go-karting. You can also spend some time in Shanklin Old Village, with its thatched-roof cottages and tea rooms. The nearby Shanklin Chine is a popular day trip, too.

Isle of Wight
Dubbed the Isle of Wight’s oldest attraction, this wooded ravine stars a greenery-cloaked waterfall at its heart. Visit in summer and you’ll be treated to the Lumiere lights in the evening. Plus, you can combine your visit with an afternoon at the old village.
Shanklin’s beach isn’t just sunbathing territory. At low tide, you can carry on past the colourful beach huts and walk around the headland to Luccombe Beach. Here, you’ll really get to see the dramatic cliffs that dominate the coastline here.
